Stefan will speak about "Voip for Businesses." He will discuss how Skype's offering has evolved during its staggeringly rapid growth phases, across software features, commercial propositions, hardware vendors and external software developers. All with a special focus on Skype in businesses.

Stefan Öberg - Vice President and General Manager of Telecom for Skype

As Vice President and General Manager of Telecom for Skype, Stefan is responsible for products and features that allow individuals to make calls to landline and mobile phones on a “pay as you go” or subscription basis as well as several other useful paid for services features. In addition, Stefan oversees Skype for Business which focuses on tools for businesses to use Skype.

Stefan previously managed Skype Desktop products, including the flagship Windows product, as well as Skype Hardware including the development of dedicated Skype devices, such as cordless phones and Wifi phones.

Prior to Skype, Stefan served seven years at Tele2, the Swedish telecom operator, initially in Sweden and later in Estonia. He was responsible for the rollout of Tele2 mobile telephony in Russia, where he launched 11 turn-key GSM operators throughout the country. Stefan was also the founder and chairman of Trigger Software, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tele2 and development company behind Internet portal Everyday.com.

Prior to Tele2, Stefan spent five years at Electrolux, a global leader in household appliances. Focusing on global marketing for the Electrolux brand, Stefan oversaw the Internet launch of Electrolux, one of the first brands to launch online in the industry.

Stefan received his Master of Business Administration in Information Management and Finance from Handelshögskolan in Stockholm, Sweden and a scholarship from McGill University, Canada.
